This restaurant offers a wealth of options for anyone eating gluten and dairy free. They are primarily a vegetarian restaurant but offer healthy grass-fed meat options for those that desire it. They only use eggs from humanely raised, and organic certified hens. We loved their emphasis on fresh organic food, warm inviting atmosphere and beautiful outdoor patio. Their gluten and dairy free cupcakes are amazing.

While not all items on their menu are gluten free, they offer a large variety of gluten free vegetarian Indian dishes, following the principles of Ayurveda, as well as general vegetarian pasta dishes, salads and sandwiches. Situated in the heart of the University district within a couple of blocks of UNM, this cafe offers a great casual atmosphere with free wi-fi and patio dining during good weather. Their newly opened second location in Albuquerque offers a very enjoyable indoor dining experience. The menu is the same for both locations. Great place, good prices. Staff is well trained and fully aware about celiac disease and/or gluten intolerance. Will place a celiac alert on your order so it can be prepared in a safe fashion. Outside of the obvious grass-fed meat options, there are also vegetarian choices available.
The Grove Cafe and Market
600 Central Avenue SE, Unit A

Located within walking distance of UNM, area hospitals and close to downtown Albuquerque, the Grove Cafe offers a fabulous diverse menu in a modern setting. It is a local favorite hangout. So be forewarned it can get rather loud on a weekend, when everyone files in for brunch or lunch. They do not have a separate gluten free menu, but are willing to adapt many of their menu items to meet your need. Salad Nicoise is a favorite.
Paisano’s

This is a courtesy listing. While this restaurant is loved by many in the local community, we have all experienced some gluten reaction issues, even after being assured that the meal we ordered was entirely gluten free. Order at your own risk. Paisano’s food is created fresh daily, and they offer a gluten free menu.

This enjoyable restaurant is not specifically gluten free, but there is something for everyone, including gluten free waffles, muffins, gluten free bread for sandwiches, outstanding salads, gluten free pizzas, daily specials, and the usual offerings of burgers, fries, etc. A very popular local restaurant, favored by locals and visitors alike; a casual, friendly place with three unique dining rooms, in which children are most definitely welcome (crayons and coloring sheets available). Call ahead, to see what their daily gluten free options are, or ask your waiter for guidance. Gluten free options are offered daily with great care to avoid any potential for cross-contamination.
WASHINGTON:

Flying Apron Bakery (with locations in Seattle and Redmond)
3510 Freemont Ave. N
Seattle, WA 98103
Again, a courtesy listing. While one of only a few certified gluten free bakeries in the country, many of their baked goods contain bean flours that some people are sensitive to, ourselves included. It is a fun place with great ambience, where you can get to know the locals and easily spent a couple of hours with your favorite treat and a good book.
