For those of you expecting a new TWD recipe today (semolina bread), we chose to forgo today’s recipe, due mostly to excessive heat, making the idea of turning on the oven an unappealing one to say the least. However, we may redo it at a later time if the weather cools down. Also, unlike some of our previous experiments, semolina bread is much more difficult to convert to gluten free. Recently we located two beverages at our local Trader Joe’s. No, we don’t receive any monetary rewards for saying this – we just like the place. One is a Green Tea drink and the other a Sparkling Cranberry Juice and we just couldn’t resist blending the two in roughly equal proportions. You could serve these chilled, with ice, or just at room temperature. The products are shown here on these pictures:
Have fun and head on over to your local Trader Joe’s for a last purchase of these tasty alcohol-free drinks for the holidays, or any other time, for that matter. Let us know, how you like them.
Just wanted to give you a brief update on our Green Lemonade. Some of you wondered whether it would taste too bland with just the Romaine. Well, actually, it doesn’t – it just has a slightly milder flavor. Our regular Green Lemonade/Smoothie does include kale, so we wanted to show you a picture of it. It definitely has a much richer color, and the flavor is excellent. For this particular one we used the same recipe posted earlier and added 6 good-sized purple kale leaves. Give it a try and let us know how you like it.
